Roger Ryder (ME) holding his 87 pound bluefin tuna with Ian Keniston (left in white oilskins) during the marathon trip of September 20, 2004. Roger hooked the tuna a second after the jig hit the water on a cast with a jig! All I could figure was that he must have put the jig on the tuna's nose! Needless to say, Roger won the pool (again!) with this fish. That morning, before the trip, he told me; "It's time I won the boat pool again!"
