Bunny Clark Deep Sea Fishing

2024 Fishing Season

The digital image (I love this picture and probably won't change it! This is the epitome of what good fishing is all about; big fish, great anglers and perfect weather.) above was taken during our longest offshore trip (twenty-four hours) called the ultra marathon. This one, on July 19, 2005, was one of the more enjoyable Ultras. But it will be most remembered by the number of large cod that were caught on the trip. Also, the weather was perfect with a clam ocean all day. Some of the best anglers I have ever known appear in the shot above. From right to left are Bob Withee (NH), to his left is Don Johnson (MA), Jim Feeney (MA) appears next to Don, Fred Kunz (NH) has the blue knife on his belt in the corner and Tim Williams (CT) has just hooked into a big one on the stern. All these anglers are hooked up to cod in the 30 pound range (more or less). It was the one time that year that I had the camera ready at the right time. Or so it seemed. The Ultra is much like our other marathons with slightly less anglers and almost a full twenty-four hour day on the water. Tickets for the Ultra are obtained by invitation only.

2024 Season Schedule and Rates

April 9 through October 31, Daily

Edited January 10, 2024
Note: Note: Reservations for the 2024 season will be commencing on Thursday, February 1, 2024 at 6:00 AM local time or 0600 EST. Reservations will not be accepted "on-line", "in person", "email" or "by letter" until February 2, 2024. In fact, reservations are never accepted by letter or email. Ticket prices are remaining the same as they were during the 2023 fishing season with the exception of the marathon trips. The marathon trip prices will increase by $5.00. This is reflected in the ticket prices below. We are hoping that, even with the recent rise in fuel prices, we will not require a fuel charge as we had to request on every trip last season. If we do add a fuel surcharge during the 2024 season, we anticipate that it will be occasional in nature and minimal in price. Keep in mind that if diesel prices escalate to unreasonable values, we will have to have an additional charge for fuel. We don't anticipate anything else that will keep us away from the normal manner with which we run our business.

I am making three changes for the 2004 Bunny Clark fishing season. First, we are changing all the Saturday, April full day trips and all the October full day trips to extreme day trips. Second, I will no longer allow anglers to use more that two hooks/lures per line. Third, I am raising the marathon trip by $5.00 due to fuel costs.

FULL DAY FISHING TRIPS - 7:00 A.M. to 3 P.M. - $110.00/person(Max 28 passengers).
HALF DAY FISHING TRIPS - 4 P.M. to 8 P.M. - $65.00/person(Max.28 passengers).
EXTREME DAY FISHING TRIPS* - 7 A.M. TO 5 P.M. - $145.00/person (Limited to 20 passengers). These trips were new in 2007 with only 26 pilot trips scheduled for that first year. This year (2024), we have scheduled 115 potential Extreme Day trips, the most we have ever had in a season. It is our most popular trip. [I (Tim Tower - no one else) reserve the right to add one more person to any trip we offer, and that policy still stands.]

The Extreme Day trip* dates for the 2024 fishing season are as follows:

April: 10,12,13,14,15,17,19,20,21,22,24,26,27,28 & 29

ARRIVAL TIME: Please arrive 1 hour before departure to secure your reservation.

MARATHON FISHING TRIPS** - 5 A.M. to 5 P.M. - $200.00 per person (Max. 18 passengers). We are running 45 scheduled marathon trips this season. It is mandatory to call about departure times the day before your trip leaves. If you do not call you could be left on the dock if we leave earlier and you aren't there to leave with the boat. This has happened in the past. There are no refunds for missing the boat. If the weather is good and the fishing is better further offshore, we leave earlier (between 3 AM and 4 AM) in order to take advantage of calmer seas and faster cruising speeds.
Note: As has been scheduled since the 2014 season, the marathon trip is an event that takes place on Tuesdays & Thursdays, normally. Marathon trips used to sail Monday, Wednesday & Friday during the 2013 season and the years before. In previous years, most of our marathon trip charters occurred on Monday & Friday during the week. This will be available in 2024 as well, the two days normally reserved for extreme day trips. The differences include: a.) This is a charter only situation. b.) The date has to be free of any extreme day reservations. c.) This is available every month except for July & August. d.) Tim will not be the captain on this trip.

Charter Rates:

FULL DAY FISHING TRIPS - 7 A.M. to 3 P.M. - $3,000.00 minimum for 1 to 30 anglers.

Marathon Trips**:

1. Persons must be at the dock 1 hour before departure.
2. Very large and/or empty coolers are to be left ashore.
3. Persons are required to reconfirm between 11 AM and 6 PM (at the latest) the day before departure to determine the possibility of cancellation for bad weather and actual departure time. Depature time may vary 2 hours from schedule.
4. Full rain gear and waterproof boots are required on April, May, October & November trips. Full rain gear is always suggested & a very good thing to have on a marathon trip.

The Marathon trip** dates for the 2024 fishing season are as follows:

April: 9,11,16,18,23,25 & 30
May:2,7,9,14,16,21,23, 28 & 30
June:4,6,11,13,18,20,25 & 27
August:27 & 29
September:3,5,10,12,17,19,24 & 26
October:1,3,8,10,15,17,22,24, 29 & 31

* Dates on which Ian Keniston is scheduled to be running the trip as captain. Tim Tower may also captain an extreme trip if Ian is incapacited from doing so.
**Dates on which Tim Tower is scheduled to be running the trip as captain. Tim is scheduled to run all the marathon trips this year, as other years, unless a Monday or Friday extreme day trip has been chartered as a marathon trip. There could be some trips in a year where Ian might captain a marathon when Tim Tower is sick, etc.
